Here are our notes for the week:  

  • If you have not completed the online paperwork in Infinite Campus, please make sure to do this as soon as possible.  There is no paper option.  Please contact the main office if you cannot access it.  
  • SMILE! Children’s Smile Connection is offering a FREE school-based cavity prevention dental program to all children during the 2026 - 2027 school year. With parent/guardian informed consent, children will receive a 15-minute preventive dental care visit conveniently at school.
    • If you are interested, please review, sign, and promptly return the form to your child’s school by September 18, 2026.   For more information about Children’s Smile Connection and our school-based dental program, please visit www.ChildrensSmileConnection.org. 
  • The Barron lunch menu now has pictures of the items available on the online menu so you can show your student what the options are ahead of time.  This is very helpful for our younger students who may want to see what the pizza looks like before they know if they want it.  https://schools.mealviewer.com/school/BarronElementarySchool
  • The first Barron PTA Meeting will be Tuesday, September 15th at 6pm in the library. We will be discussing upcoming fall events. 
  • The Barron School Store is open: Shop youth and adult apparel between now and September 17th. All orders will be packed and delivered to the school approximately 2 weeks after the store closes, and will be sent home with students.
  • Open House is Thursday, September 17th.  Classroom teachers will reach out to you with information and times. We have staggered start times to help alleviate parking issues so look carefully for when your child’s grade level begins and ends.  This is an evening for caregivers only, students do not attend.  If you are not able to make it, please let them know so they can pass along the necessary information to you to start the year.
    • PLEASE NOTE 5th grade families due to a conflict, our 5th grade teachers only will host their Open House on Wednesday the 16th from 5:30-6:00pm.

  • Reminder for cars parking on Theresa Ave.:  If no other options are available and you need to park on Theresa Ave., the Salem PD has asked me to reiterate a few points.  
    • Please park at least 30 ft from the Butler intersection.
    • All cars should be parked on the same side of the road to allow children to walk safely and cars to use the road safely.
    • Cars are not allowed to park on both sides as it could impede police or fire vehicles during an emergency.  
    • Please do not block driveways or fire hydrants.  
  • NH’s Bell to Bell Law:  All NH schools have a bell-to-bell electronics law.  All electronic devices should be powered off and stored in backpacks throughout the school day.  This includes phones, smart watches, iPads, etc.. 
  • Classroom teachers have been sharing that they are seeing an increase in toys coming to school.  To help keep our focus on learning, we ask that all toys and fidgets stay at home. The only exception is if a fidget has been pre-approved by a classroom teacher due to a specific learning plan to be used as a learning tool. Please keep in mind that the school cannot be responsible for any lost, broken, or missing personal items.
  • We will have our first Barron Spirit Day on Friday September 18th.  Everyone is encouraged to wear Red and White.  Once the Barron gear is in from the on-line store, we will be sure to host another day!
