06/12/2026 Principal Notes

Two days remain next week on an awesome school year.  Here are some end of the year notes and reminders as we round out the year.   Please call the main office with any questions.  

• This morning Barron hosted our Senior Breakfast for the class of 2026 where past Barron students that are now graduating Seniors come and walk the Barron halls and reminisce about their time here.  It is a pretty special tradition that our staff loves!  
• Great job by our third grade Strings students who had their concert on Monday at the PAC.  
• Tuesday is our last day with a 12:00pm dismissal.  Lunches will be served.  Thank you to our families for putting in your orders early so we could be sure to accommodate everyone.  
• Report cards will go home with students on Tuesday.  If you will not be here on that day, please reach out to your child’s teacher to make arrangements for getting all of the end of the year items home.  
• Fifth grade parents please reach out with questions regarding the Promotion Information that was sent out earlier this week.      
• Lost and Found:  If your child is missing something, please have them check the lost and found or reach out to the office or teacher.   Anything left at the school on Tuesday will be donated.  
• Chromebooks: 
  • Students currently in grades K, 2, 3 and 4 will keep their Chromebooks over the summer.  Please keep them in a safe space so they are ready to use again when we return to school in fall.
  • Students currently in grades 1, and 5 will RETURN their Chromebooks, charger, and bag to their classroom teacher, unless they are participating in a district summer program.  They will be assigned a new Chromebook when they return in the fall.    
• Looking for activities for your child for the summer?  The district has several enrichment opportunities available.   Check them out here:  https://sau57.org/summer
• The Library has put together summer reading lists.   They can be found here:  https://sau57.libguides.com/barronlibrary/summer
• If your family is moving over the summer or not returning to Barron in the fall, please contact the main office before the last day.  This will ensure we can send over paperwork to their new location as soon as possible.   We also will need to collect your student’s Chromebook, charger, and bag.
