Here are our notes for the week, there are quite a few things related to the wrap up of the year, so please reach out if you have questions:  

  • We had an awesome Field Day today.  Thank you to all of our volunteers and especially Mr. Bolduc who helped make it a fun day for our students!  
  • A huge shoutout to our awesome PTA for putting on Glow Bingo once again for our students to enjoy with their buddy classrooms.  The students loved it. They also loved the popsicle treat for Field Day.  
  • Congratulations to all of our 5th grade Band students on a great performance on Tuesday night.
  • Fifth Grade Families:  Please remember to send your RSVP’s in for our Promotion Ceremony by June 10th so that we can arrange seating to accommodate all of our guests.  If you are planning to take your child(ren) after the ceremony, just let us know ahead of time.  We will not be able to process requests to take the students the morning of the 16th.   
  • Today was the last day for the Boys & Girls Club.  They will not have after school programming available for the remainder of the year as they prepare for their summer sessions.  Please be sure to update your child’s Pick Up Patrol.  
  • The last day of school is Tuesday, June 16th and students are dismissed at 12:00pm.  
    • Because of the 12:00 dismissal, lunch will be served as a bag lunch option with choice of Ham and Cheese Wrap, Sun Butter and Jelly Sandwich, or Yogurt Fun Lunch.  
    • Please discuss with your child if you would like them to order food for this day and what choice they would prefer.  
    • In order for Food Service to properly stock and prepare meals for the last day, we will take lunch orders for the last day on Tuesday, June 9th. 
    • You can also directly contact the teacher if your child will be eating on that day, and what their choice will be.  
  • Report cards will be sent home with students on the last day of school.  If your child will not be attending the last day, it is helpful for the teacher to know ahead of time.  They will be able to send any end of the year items with your child on their last day of attending.  
  • If your child will not be returning to Barron next year because you are moving or attending a new school, please contact the main office or their teacher directly.  We will need this information to get their records ready for wherever they may be going.  If this isn’t done prior to the end of the school year, there may be a delay in the new location getting the information as our staff will not be here in the summer. 
    • Please note that all Fifth graders will automatically be transferred to Woodbury.
  • Chromebooks: 
    • Students currently in grades K, 2, 3 and 4 will keep their Chromebooks over the summer.  Please keep them in a safe space so they are ready to use again when we return to school in fall.
    • Students currently in grades 1 and 5 will RETURN their Chromebooks, charger, and bag to their classroom teacher, unless they are participating in a district summer program.  They will be assigned a new Chromebook when they return in the fall.    
  • Lost and Found:  With only a few weeks left of school our lost and found and is once again overflowing with zip ups, hoodies, and water bottles.  If your child is missing something (especially after field day today) please have them check the lost and found or reach out to the office or teacher.  Anything left the last week of school will be donated.  
  • The 3rd grade Strings concert will be Monday, June 8th at the SHS Performing Arts Center.
