04/17/2026 Principal Notes

Posted Date: 04/17/26 (04:00 PM)

Here are our notes for the week:

  • Thank you all who came out to support our 5th graders in Dodgeball.  It is about as much controlled chaos as you can get!   Our 5th graders made us proud by showing their sportsmanship and representing Barron so well!  A big shout out to our volunteers who decorated and helped man the 68 Hours table and cleaned up.  Also a big thank you to our staff including Mr. Bolduc, Ms. Delaney, Ms. Boivin, and Ms. Perrault for all their work with practices and teams, and Ms. McGlynn who always bring the hype!
  • Classroom teachers have been sharing that they are seeing an increase in toys coming to school.  To help keep our focus on learning, we ask that all toys and fidgets stay at home. The only exception is if a fidget has been pre-approved by a classroom teacher due to a specific learning plan to be used as a learning tool. Please keep in mind that the school cannot be responsible for any lost, broken, or missing personal items.
  • Additionally, a reminder regarding our dress code: Hats should remain off during the school day. We love seeing your school spirit on designated "Theme Days," but on all other days, we ask that students keep their hats in their backpacks. Thank you for your support!
  • Lost and Found is once again filling up.  Anything left over April break will be donated.  Please have your child check, or feel free to call in if you are missing items.
  • On Tuesday May 5, at 6pm the music department will have their annual band & strings registration night and instrument petting zoo in the SHS PAC.  This is the primary registration event for the 26-27 school year and the goal is to get  NEXT YEAR’S band/strings students signed up at this time.
  • Save the Date for Grandparent’s Day which will be Friday, May 22nd.  More information will be coming home next week.  Be on the lookout!
  • A reminder we will start NHSAS testing next week for grades 3, 4, and 5.  Students need corded headphones for the test.  We have plenty here at school, but many are more comfortable with their own pair and are welcome to use them.  Bluetooth headphones are not allowed unless it is medically necessary.  Information regarding testing dates went home last week and can also be found here:   All testing sessions run from 9:55 AM – 11:55 AM.
